Julep is an AI-powered cocktail recipe generation service. Users can request cocktail recipes, modify existing recipes, and save their favorites. The Service is available through our website and may include free and paid subscription tiers.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must be at least 21 years old (or the legal drinking age in your jurisdiction) to use this Service.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Paid subscriptions are billed annually. All payments are processed securely through our payment provider. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.

5. Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with Julep. Our refund policy is as follows:

14-day money-back guarantee: If you're not satisfied with your subscription, request a full refund within 14 days of purchase—no questions asked.
Pro-rated refunds: After 14 days, we may offer pro-rated refunds for unused time on a case-by-case basis.
Bonus credits: Purchased bonus credits are non-refundable once used.
How to request: Email support@julep.dev with your account email and reason for refund.

Refunds are typically processed within 5-10 business days to your original payment method.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
Interfere with or disrupt the Service
Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
Use automated systems to access the Service beyond normal usage

7. Intellectual Property and License

The Service, including its design, features, AI models, and underlying technology, is owned by Julep and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Your License to Generated Content: For any recipes or content generated through your use of the Service, we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-revocable, royalty-free license to use, modify, share, and build upon that content for any personal or commercial purpose. This license remains in effect even after your subscription ends or account is closed.

Our License to Generated Content: By using the Service, you also grant Julep a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute recipes and content generated through the Service in our blogs, newsletters, cookbooks, marketing materials, and other publications. We may use this content without attribution or compensation.

Simply put: the recipes you create with Julep are yours to keep and use forever—and we may feature them in our content too.

8. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated recipes are suggestions and should be used at your own discretion. We are not responsible for allergic reactions, ingredient substitutions, or any outcomes from using our recipes. Please drink responsibly.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Julep shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service.
