Harvest Moon Punch

A Spiced Bourbon Punch for Grateful Gatherings

Friendsgiving needs a drink that can handle a crowd without tying you to the bar all night. This bourbon punch does exactly that, combining the comfort of hot apple cider with the backbone of good whiskey and a generous hand with warming spices. The allspice dram is the secret weapon here. It amplifies all those cozy fall flavors you want, clove and cinnamon and nutmeg, without having to muddle or strain a dozen whole spices. Fresh apple cider and maple syrup bring natural sweetness that bourbon loves, while lemon juice keeps everything bright instead of cloying. Those whole spices steeping in the mix? They're there for the long game, getting deeper and more complex as the night goes on. Make this the day before your gathering and let those flavors really get to know each other. Serve it cold over ice while everyone's arriving, or heat it up in a pot on the stove if you're taking the party outside. Either way, you'll have more time to actually enjoy your friends instead of playing bartender.

Note: Serves 8-10 people. The allspice dram brings warming clove, cinnamon, and allspice notes that complement the bourbon beautifully. Make the spiced cider portion a day ahead for deeper flavor. Can be served warm for outdoor gatherings by omitting ice and serving hot in mugs.
