Citrus Gin Fizz

When G&T Meets Sunday Morning Brunch

Sometimes you need something with a little more personality than a standard gin and tonic, but you're not quite ready to commit to a full-on cocktail. That's where this fizz comes in. The Citrus Gin Fizz takes everything you love about a G&T and brightens it up with fresh lemon and grapefruit juice. The elderflower liqueur (we're fans of St-Germain here) adds just enough sweetness to balance the citrus without turning things cloying. You still get that familiar quinine bite from the tonic, but now it plays nicely with the floral notes and tartness. Think of it as your G&T's more interesting cousin who actually has stories to tell. This works beautifully as a late morning or early afternoon drink, especially when you're sitting outside and want something refreshing that won't knock you sideways. The grapefruit peel garnish isn't just for show, it adds a nice aromatic hit when you take that first sip. Give it a try next time regular tonic feels a bit too predictable.

Note: A lighter, more citrus-forward take on the gin & tonic. The combination of lemon and grapefruit adds brightness without being too tart, while the elderflower liqueur provides subtle sweetness and floral notes. The tonic water adds effervescence and that classic quinine bite. For a drier version, reduce the elderflower liqueur to 0.25 oz or add a bit more tonic water.
